Why Delivery Matters So Much

Creating your offer and launching it successfully is only the beginning. The real magic happens in how you deliver what you promised.

A fantastic delivery experience creates loyalty. And that’s incredibly important, especially if your offer is something ongoing like a membership or a course.

Your audience’s journey doesn’t end when they make a purchase. It’s just the beginning.

The Pattern Club

When I launched my very first membership, The Pattern Club, I wanted it to feel special and welcoming. I even went so far as to send a physical gift to every founding member—a handwritten note and a little creative surprise. I still have a fun photo of me holding dozens of envelopes ready to go out!

My goal was to make each member feel valued from the very start. And the welcome gift was just the beginning.

Here’s what the membership included back then:

  • Weekly Q&A Calls: A place for members to ask their burning questions and get personalized advice.

  • A Private Facebook Group: Where members could share their progress, connect with others, and support each other.

  • Trainings and Special Demos: Whenever someone got stuck, I’d record a special demonstration to help them through the process.

I wanted to create an environment where people felt supported and encouraged. And that effort paid off—not just in how many members stuck around, but in how engaged they were.

The biggest lesson? Create an amazing customer experience from the start, and your audience will stick with you.

Why a Fabulous Customer Experience is So Important

People remember how you make them feel. When you deliver on your promise in a way that feels special and thoughtful, it creates a deeper connection.

For memberships or course offers, it’s crucial to help your students actually complete the work. Why? Because their success is your success.

When people feel taken care of and supported, they’re more likely to finish what they started and continue working with you for years to come.

Different Delivery Methods – Finding What Works for You and Your Audience

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to delivering your offers. The right delivery method depends on both your personal style and what will help your audience achieve success.

Live vs. Pre-Recorded

  • Live Delivery: Great for building community and providing real-time feedback. Think live workshops, Q&A calls, or group coaching sessions.

  • Pre-Recorded Delivery: Allows your audience to learn at their own pace. This works well for self-paced courses, video tutorials, or memberships with a library of content.

  • Hybrid Approach: Combining live and pre-recorded content can be incredibly effective. For example, providing live Q&A sessions to complement a pre-recorded course.

The key is to find the right balance between how you prefer to deliver the material and what methods will help your students achieve success.

The 3 Key Questions to Ask Yourself

To help you deliver your offers in the most effective and engaging way, here are three questions to consider:

Question 1: How will you create a memorable experience for your customers?

Think about how you can make your audience feel seen, heard, and valued. It could be through personal touches like welcome gifts, live interactions, or even well-crafted messages that make them feel special.
Reflect: What can you do to make your audience feel truly supported and valued?

Question 2: What’s the best delivery method for your offer(s)?

Decide if your offer is best delivered live, pre-recorded, or a combination of both. Consider your personality and what feels most authentic to you.
Reflect: Which delivery method will help your audience achieve the best results?

Question 3: How will you gather feedback and refine your delivery method over time?

Creating a stellar delivery experience doesn’t end when you hit “publish.” Listening to your audience’s feedback and improving your process is what keeps them coming back for more.
Reflect: What systems can you put in place to gather feedback and continuously improve your delivery?

Putting It All Together

Delivery is about more than just giving your audience what you promised. It’s about making them feel taken care of and creating a memorable experience that keeps them engaged.

Whether you’re delivering a membership, a course, a service, or even physical products, the way you deliver matters. And the best part? You can keep improving your process over time.
